Located on a coastal barrier island, this beach cottage, built in 1938, was one of the first houses on the island. The owners purchased the home with a plan to convert it from a short-term rental cottage with minimal accommodations to a comfortable family home. While retaining the beach house feel of the home, we opened the interior spaces to the light and added a kitchen, family room, and master suite.
